Nigerian producer, Rexxie was arrested in Uganda. Details about it were shabby, but the arrest has drawn attention of many fans, as it becomes the second time since December, when Nigerian acts (Omah Lay and Tems) were arrested in the country.

Oscars’ Award
The hot gist GOLDENPAGE MAGAZINE has on Oscars 2024 Awards presentation is about the renowned wrestler, John Cena who did something extraordinary when presenting the Best Costume Category Award. He went naked on stage!
He has since been lashed for his actions, and hasn’t offered any statements about it.
Kai Cenat’s Bones of Contention: David and Shanks.
Kai Cenat, popular American YouTuber and streamer, arrived Nigeria within the week. He was hosted by colleague, Shank Comics. They explored different part of Lagos, however, when Shank invited the Youtuber to Makoko, Davido sent a friendly advice to the streamer, asking him not to go to Makoko, owing largely to what others see as security reasons.
In subsequent meetings with the streamer, Davido shared some aspects of his Nigerian background with Cenat. At a point, he declared his wife the best chef ever.
What annoyed fans was Davido’s claim of Nigeria having only 3 tribes: Yoruba, Igbo, and Benin. During the course of Cenat’s stay in Nigeria, Davido drove him around Lagos, and in one video, they were seen vibing to Omah Lay’s songs. Omah Lay was quick to register his surprise, saying he always thought that OBO hated him.

Kizz Daniel’s New Release
Kizz Daniel released a new EP, TZA (Thankz Alot) within the week.
Awards: Three Nigerian Winners
At NAACP, 3 Nigerian acts made us proud: Lojay, Davido, and Tems. Lojay and Davido were awarded alongside Chris Brown for his song, “Sensational,” while Tems was awarded for her song, “Me and U.”
AMVCA’s Timeline
Multichoice officially released a timeline for this year’s AMVCA. The nominees would be released next week Sunday, 24th March, while the awards presentation is scheduled to take place between 10th and 11th May.
Fireboy’s Heartbreak
Within the week, we’ve had 3 big announcements of upcoming albums. Fireboy shared a progress report of his upcoming album. After its release, he says, he would set out to find the next heartbreak that would inspire his subsequent album.
Simi’s roll-out
Simi also made an announcement of a forthcoming album. While responding to trolls, the singer was quick to draw the line for those who were hot at asking her to ‘level up’ her song game.
Declaring that her voice was her superpower, she responded to a query by a fan, saying ‘Yes, [there’s an upcoming album]. And it’s fire.‘
Afrobeats Palava and Wizkid
Another of the long list of hot gists GOLDENPAGE MAGAZINE has dug out for you is Wizkid’s announcement of a forthcoming album wasn’t what many were expecting.
The Grammy-winning artist stated unequivocally that he is not an Afrobeats artist, and thus dissociated himself entirely from former hit-tracks he had released in the past. He then urged his fans not to download his new album if they expect Afrobeats in it.

Israel DMW’s ex-wife ‘Said Yes Again!’ within the week. While the announcement sounded like it was a love affair, she was merely running a promotional and sharing the update of a new endorsement deal she just bagged with Zikel Cosmetics.
Influencer Enioluwa
Influencer Enioluwa celebrated his best friend’s birthday with her this week. Priscilla Oja celebrated her 23rd birthday within the week, with lauding gifts from her friend, Enioluwa, including an all-expense-paid trip to Zanzibar.
Mercy Chinwo
Easter is around the corner, and while many are preparing for it, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo announced a free live concert in Lagos. Scheduled to hold on the 29th of March, the concert will take place in Eko Hotels and Suites.
Album Release: Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage and Odumodublvck teamed up for a song, “100 Million” which was released within the week.
Old Man Actor and Sex Scandal
Within the week, Squid Game actor, O Yeoung-su faced charges on sexual misconduct. He was remanded for 8 months, a period which he would be required to attend classes that border around sexual orientation and rights. He is set to appeal this judgement.
Spyro the Preacher
Lastly, Nigerian singer, Spyro, has issued a warning to men to be wary of beautiful ladies, as they are most likely to be used by the evil. Quoting from the Bible, the actor drew parallels between the depiction of the beauty of the devil and what is obtainable today.
