Nigerian singer, Davido, has made headlines once again – this time for unfollowing record producer, Rexxie, on Instagram.

The move comes after Rexxie, known for his production genius, seemingly threw shade at Davido, regarding Grammy nominations.

Rexxie, in a Twitter exchange with a Davido fan, asserted his Grammy credentials, claiming nominations for his work on Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album, ‘Twice As Tall’, and the Grammy-nominated song, ‘Do Yourself’ by Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy.

He not only flaunted his achievements but also took a subtle dig at Davido’s tactics, stating, “Before your fav get Grammy I’ve already gotten it. I no use sympathy or dance with kids on uniform or attend the show early with my full squad and family members. Respect!”

These remarks did not sit well with Davido, who promptly unfollowed Rexxie on social media platforms.

This development arrives hot on the heels of Rexxie’s revelation just three weeks prior, wherein he disclosed that Davido had reached out to him during his recent brief detention in Uganda.

The record producer had been taken into custody and had faced legal troubles in Uganda, following his encounter with the Ugandan Immigration authorities.

The news of the record producer’s detention was broadcast through an Instagram post shared by the ‘KKP’ crooner himself and revelation from Rexxie himself.

Nevertheless, in his social media update, the singer and producer refrained from disclosing the exact grounds for his arrest, which he vehemently labeled as “unfair.”

Expressing a plea for assistance, Rexxie implored his followers to rally behind him and advocate for his swift release, using the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”
