Controversial social media influencer and celebrity critic, Daniel Regha, has stirred up the entertainment scene once again with his latest social media post targeting the Nigerian music sensation, Davido.
In a scathing critique, Regha addressed Davido’s recent interview where the Afrobeat star acknowledged the influence of veteran artists like 2Face, P-Square, and D’banj in paving the way for his own success.
While applauding Davido’s recognition of his predecessors, Regha raised doubts about certain statements made by the superstar.
“Davido’s acknowledgment of artists like 2Face, P-Square, & D’banj paving the way for him is applaudable, especially in an era where many claim to be self-made,” Regha stated in his post.
“However, some of his claims seem dubious. When and where have people fainted at his concerts? He lacks the star power of Michael Jackson even today.”
Regha didn’t stop there, pointing out what he deemed as inconsistencies in Davido’s narrative. “Another obvious falsehood is his claim of dropping smash hits for 8 years before signing with Sony Music in 2016. His first viral hit, ‘Dami Duro‘, was released in 2012. So how does that add up to 8 years?” questioned Regha, challenging Davido’s timeline of success.
