Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, have been detained in Romania following the European arrest warrant issued by UK authorities.
The warrant relate to allegations, which include sexual aggression spanning from 2012 to 2015, according to the brothers’ team, who vehemently denied all charges.
Romanian Police revealed that the warrant was issued for sexual offenses, including exploitation, by UK authorities on Monday.
Both men were brought before the prosecutor attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, who ordered their detention for 24 hours. A decision regarding the execution of the warrant is expected on Tuesday.
In a statement, the representative of the controversial Andrew Tate described the situation as a “bewildering revival of decade-old accusations,” expressing disappointment and pledging to challenge the allegations vigorously.
This recent development comes after Andrew and Tristan Tate, both dual UK-US nationals, were previously barred from leaving Romania in December. They were under investigation by Romanian authorities over separate allegations, including rape, human trafficking, and involvement in a criminal gang, all of which they denied.

The brothers were alleged to have exploited women through an adult content business, which prosecutors claim operated as a criminal organization. The indictment, published in June, also named two female Romanian associates and identified seven alleged victims.
