The Rivers State Police Command has neutralised one of the most wanted criminals, Izuma Odiereke, who has been on the run for 8 years in Owube kingdom in Ahoada West Local Government Area of the state.
Along with his gangs, the wanted kingship, whose name has appeared in the Police wanted list since 2016, had engaged in a fierce gun battle with the security personnel in the early hours of Monday before he was eventually killed during the process.
It was gathered that Odiereke, who was popularly called General Solution, had carried out dangerous activities and had evaded capture on several occasions.
While the commissioner of police, Tunji Disu, was speaking to the pressmen, He said, “We’ve been having a series of attacks from this so-called general that has just been killed.
“He has been on the wanted list since 2016, which is close to about 10 years. He has been a serial killer, and a lot of people have died through his hands. Nobody can fish; nobody can go to the farm because of this man.”
Disu continued narrating that, “The Ipia clan is deserted because he kills and escapes at will. Because of him, the clan has deserted, but today officers of this command, led by the DPO personally, went after him and laid siege, and luckily for us, he has been gotten. So this is the end of the era of General Solution.”

The local government chairman, Ben Eke, commended the men of the force for their efforts to clamp down on terrorists and was excited for the development.
“I’m indeed very happy this one was killed in Ahoada West. We know that cultists in Ahoada East and Ahoada West do things together. So, that this one has been brought down together means that criminality will reduce in our own local government.
“I commend the IGP, the CP, and the officers of the police,” he commended.
