The National Union of Professional Footballers have recognized and awarded Chiamaka Nnadozie as the best goalkeeper in the French women’s topflight league, making her the first African to do so.
Nnadozie was recognised for her dazzling displays for Paris FC in the 2023/24 season.
The Nigeria international beat of strong competition from the likes of Olympic Lyon’s Christiane Endler, Katarzyna Kiedrzynek of PSG, FC Fleury’s Chloe N’Gazi and Kinga Szemik of Stade de Reims to the individual accolade.
Recall that the 23-year-old Nigerian international had also claimed the best goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema (women’s league) last month.
Nnadozie’s has many traits that make her one of the best in the world. However, what is worth mentioning the most is her penalty-saving heroics which have, in particular, cemented her status as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Since moving to France in 2020, the 23-year-old has established herself as one of the best and most reliable goalkeepers in Europe.
She is the leading penalty specialist, boasting the highest number of saves from the spot among elite goalkeepers in the men’s and women’s top European leagues since the start of the 2023/24 season.
Nnadozie boasts two spot-kick saves in the league and five in her club’s sensational run in the Women’s Champions League.
She would definitely remain a key figure in Randy Waldrum’s Super Falcon’s side as they seek glory in the Womens African Cup of Nations and the Womens World Cup.
