Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Eniola Ajao, shed light on the controversial decision of Bobrisky‘s recent win as ‘Best Dressed Female’ at the premiere of her movie, ‘Ajakaju.’

In an interview with Arise TV, the actress revealed that award was indeed part of a carefully crafted strategy to garner attention for the movie. “It was all jokes. We just want to have fun. We want people to talk about the movie,” Ajao explained.

Further elaborating on the rationale behind honoring Bobrisky, Ajao emphasized the desire to provoke discussion and intrigue surrounding ‘Ajakaju.’

“My team and I decided that it needed to be in the faces of people. So we decided to give the Best Dressed Female award to Bobrisky since he has always been a very controversial person,” she stated.

However, the move didn’t come without its share of backlash. Ajao addressed the criticism, urging Nigerians not to direct their ire towards Femi Adebayo, who presented the award. “He just presented it, it wasn’t his idea, he was not part of the judges. Nigerians shouldn’t slam him, please,” Ajao appealed.

Background and Earlier Controversies

The decision to crown Bobrisky as ‘Best Dressed Female‘ (winning a cash prize of 1m Naira) at the movie premiere earlier this week has sparked a debates across the entertainment industry, with celebrities coming out to air their views on the controversial decision.

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa strongly criticized the decision to award transgender personality Bobrisky the title of “Best Dressed Female“, labeling it as disrespectful to women present at the event.

Amusa expressed her disapproval through a video message posted on her Instagram account, denouncing the choice as a mockery of the efforts of all the women in attendance.

Amusa expressed her bewilderment, stating, “I was at a colleague of mine premiere yesterday, they said the best dressers are to be picked; one female and one male best dresser. Don’t get me wrong, the winner could be anyone but definitely not a crossdresser. I mean, what’s wrong with us? I don’t understand it.”

She further criticized the judges for undermining the women present by awarding the Best Dressed Female title to a crossdresser. Amusa questioned the logic behind honoring Bobrisky in a category designated for women and suggested creating a separate category for crossdressers instead.

Controversial singer, Portable, has also been hot-in-the-news for his unreserved criticism of the crossdresser. In the latest development of the ongoing feud between them, Portable has fired back with a scathing diss track titled “Yansh Like Fufu.”

The clash between the two personalities began after Bobrisky’s win. Portable immediately warned Bobrisky against associating with the sisterhood and even hinted at potential legal action.

Bobrisky, not one to shy away from confrontation, responded by hurling insults at Portable and cursing his lineage, escalating the tension between them.

Portable then fired back with a fiery diss track aimed squarely at Bobrisky. In the video shared online, Portable can be seen in the studio passionately recording the track, where he takes aim at Bobrisky’s physical appearance and transition.

In the song, Portable compares Bobrisky’s buttocks to the firmness of Akpu (Fufu), a traditional Nigerian food item, mocking Bobrisky’s physical attributes. He further criticizes Bobrisky for transitioning from the brotherhood to the sisterhood, labeling him a disgrace to the former.

The lyrics, delivered in Yoruba, carry a sharp tone of disdain towards Bobrisky, warning him against encroaching on Portable’s territory or facing dire consequences.

“You guys should warn brotherhood not to come to my hood cause e go chop firewood. You’re my brotherhood, brotherhood go brotherhood, now you want to join sisterhood. You’re a disgrace to brotherhood. Look at his buttocks resembling Akpu (Fufu),” Portable raps in the diss track.

In the heat of these controversies surrounding his win, Bobrisky has doubled down on his assertion of living life on his own terms, emphasizing that he is not engaged in any competition with others.

Bobrisky proudly highlighted his embrace of a luxurious “baby girl” lifestyle, attributing it to the support of wealthy benefactors who spare no expense in catering to his needs.

The controversial transgender figure issued a warning to those not in the billionaire class to refrain from meddling in his affairs, asserting his autonomy and authority over his own business dealings.

“I’m not even competing with anyone, I’m just living the real baby girl lifestyle. If all the real ballers around me see me as their baby girl for life and they are all doing everything I’m asking them to do, biko wo be those broke ass to tell them who to spend their money on,” Bobrisky stated.
