The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has promised to support the cassava processing factory located at Oyigbo Local Government Area in Rivers State.
After the state governor visited the factory on Thursday and saw the extent of progress at which the factory had made since the initial investment, he pledged to assist the factory’s production financially.
Fubara further explained that a request was made to him earlier by team managers to support them, which will help facilitate and increase the production of more cassava:
“I got a request from the people who manage the cassava processing plant that we need to extend our support for them to complete two production lines.

“That will give them a standard that they can start to supply in earnest to a lot of distributors who need the product from this plant.
“And I felt it would be proper for me to see what we have already invested and the stage they are at, so that it will encourage us to give support.”
