Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have arrested two female child traffickers in connection to the adoption of five children.
FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh in a statement on X, said Operatives of the Command arrested the two female suspects who adopted five children on the 27th of April, 2024 at about 8.00pm.

The two suspected female child traffickers, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Oja, who attempted to escape arrest from Sokoto police operatives, were intercepted and arrested by the FCT police operatives at Kagini junction, Abuja, while suspiciously conveying five (5) children into the Federal Capital Territory.

In the spirit of oneness, the FCT Police Command have now handed the alleged child traffickers with their victims over to the Sokoto State Police Command for further investigation and onward prosecution.
The commissioner of police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, however urged parents to pay utmost attention to their wards while reaffirming his commitment to ensuring the safety of the residents of FCT.
