The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo has declared Thursday, April 11th, 2024, as an additional public holiday to commemorate the Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
The Minister’s announcement of the additional public holiday came early Tuesday morning following the declaration by the Sultan of Sokoto that fasting would continue.
However, the Sultan announced on Monday evening that ‘the crescent moon was not sighted in Saudi Arabia.’
In his statement, Minister Olubunmi conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah for successfully observing a month of spiritual rejuvenation.
