A three-count charge has been filed against the widely known socialite and Instagram celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, a.k.a. Cubana Chief Priest, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for naira abuse.

The popular Instagram celebrity is said to be arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on April 17.

A copy of the charges was disclosed to GOLDENPAGE MAGAZINE, dated April 4, by EFFC’s prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), alongside seven other lawyers representing the Chairman of the Commission.

The charge alleged that Count 1 read, “That you, Okechukwu Pascal, on February 13, 2024, at the Eko Hotel, within the jurisdiction of the court, while dancing during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying the same for two hours, and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007.”
