The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is presently investigating alleged oil theft by 11 persons and a vessel in Lagos, Nigeria.
On Monday, the EFCC announced the launch of its investigations into the alleged oil theft, following the receipt of the MT SAISNIL II vessel from the Nigerian Navy, NNS Beecroft, Apapa, Lagos.
The alleged suspects are Jimoh Olusola, Akinrodoye Tobias, Idolor Ogun, Blessed Udoh Michael, Fineface Zorte, Victor Ime Edem, Shofela Bode, Adejokun Taiye Emmanuel, Golden A. Javan, Yekini Lukman, and Ajayi Oluwole.

Furthermore, the vessel and its crew were apprehended on February 7 by Nigerian naval officers for their alleged involvement in illegal oil bunkering and Automatic Identification System (AIS) infractions at Abo Oilfield, Ogogoro Community, Ondo State.
The commission however intends to bring charges against the suspects in court upon the conclusion of their investigations.
