Eniola Ajao, the producer of Ajakaju (Beasts of Two Worlds) has made a new revelation about the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award at her premiere on Sunday.
The award of ‘Best Dressed Female’ to popular crossdresser Bobrisky sparked uproar on social media, prompting Ajao to speak out and clarify the circumstances surrounding the award.
Speaking exclusively to Arise TV earlier in the week, Ajao vehemently denied allegations of awarding Bobrisky, dismissing the entire ordeal as a charade: “The Best Dressed Female award given to Bobrisky was just for promotion purposes.”
Despite Ajao’s efforts to clarify the situation, backlash against her movie premiere continues to mount on social media platforms. In a bid to salvage the reputation of her project and alleviate the negative impact of the Bobrisky saga, Ajao took to her Instagram page to release a heartfelt video message, imploring Nigerians to support her by patronizing the movie.
“Tell everybody to go out for me, don’t let me be in debt, I don’t have anything. All I had was what I put into this project. Please support me in the name of God,” she pleaded passionately.
She further elaborated, “I don’t want to dwell too much on that. I plead with Nigerians in the name of God, help me go out. This is a film that the whole industry came out to watch and they gave good reviews. It’s a film that I can be boastful about and walk with my head up.
“Concerning the award, no award was given to anyone. It was fake,” she revealed.

Recall that in the aftermath of the contentious best-dressed female announcement at her movie premiere, actress Eniola Ajao extended a heartfelt apology to her colleagues and the public.
Feeling the weight of the unfolding events, Eniola Ajao took to Instagram to pen an apology addressed to the public and those affected by the controversy.
“I write to you today with a heavy heart, filled with regret and remorse over the events that unfolded at my movie premiere,” Eniola wrote.
“I address you all today, taking full responsibility and seeking your pardon with my deepest regrets for the distress and turmoil caused by the events surrounding the selection of Best Dressed at the premiere of ‘Ajakaju’,” she said.
In a gesture of reconciliation and rectification, she announced her decision to honor two additional females, Bode Alao and another unnamed woman, as the best-dressed females at the premiere.
“In an effort to make amends and correct my mistakes, I have decided to honour two females, Bode Alao and one other beautiful woman as the best-dressed females at the premiere,” she wrote.
“Each will receive a sum of N1,000,000(One Million Naira) as a token of my sincere apology and appreciation for their grace and elegance.”
