Three Nigerian music sensations, Tems, Davido, and Lojay have clinched prestigious awards at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards.
The event, which unfolded virtually on Monday, March 11, witnessed a celebration of diverse talents from across the globe, with the Nigerian artists shining brightly amidst stiff competition.
Tems emerged victorious in the category of Outstanding International Song for her hit track ‘Me & U.’ Davido and Lojay secured their place in the winners’ circle for their collaboration with international superstar, Chris Brown, on the chart-topping track ‘Sensational’. The song captured the hearts of fans worldwide and clinched the award for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (contemporary).
While Tems, Davido, and Lojay basked in the glory of their well-deserved victories, they were not the only stars to shine bright at the 55th Image Awards. American icons, Chris Brown and Victoria Monét, clinched two awards individually.
Brown’s wins included Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (traditional) for his collaboration with Ciara on ‘How We Roll.’ On the other hand, Monét won awards in the categories of Outstanding Album and Outstanding New Artist for her album, ‘Jaguar II’.
