In the search to halt the terrorist operation, the military personnel stormed into the Easthern Security Network (ESN), arrested six suspects, and discovered a drone and firearms factory at Onicha Ulona in the Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to the report shared on the Nigeria Military X handle by the Director of Army Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, it was gathered that the locally made manufacturing factory was used to “carry out criminal activities to terrorise neighbouring communities and innocent citizens.”

During the invading of the illegal factory by members of the security force, they had a tough battle but “overpowered the armed fighters in the fierce firefight that followed.”

Aftwards, the troops were said to have neutralised two of the fighters and recovered a significant stock of arms and ammunition.

“Troops also apprehended four male and two female fighters during the operation.”

However, the Nigerian military has assured citizens that the “troops’ unalloyed commitment to dismantling terrorists’ and insurgents’ networks in their effort to mitigate security challenges in the nation.”

They also begged the members of the public to support what their military men do to safeguard the country in their quest to restore and maintain peace and stability.

“We urge the public to continue to support the Nigerian Army and other security agencies as they strive to restore peace and stability in the country,” Nwachukwu noted.
