In a significant victory against insurgency, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has hailed Nigerian military for the successful neutralization of Boderi, a notorious terror leader, with his gang members in Kaduna State.
Mr Henshaw Ogubike, Director of Information and Public Relations, stated that Matawalle, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s administration, underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring security across the nation.
Boderi, whose reign of terror had instilled fear and devastation in Kaduna and neighboring Niger State for nearly a decade, was brought down in a fierce confrontation with Nigerian Military forces in the Bada/Riyawa areas of Chikun and Igabi LGAs.

However, the Minister applauded the recent accomplishments of the military, revealing that 286 terrorists had been eliminated, 244 arrested, and 73 crude oil smugglers detained. Furthermore, 122 kidnapped victims were rescued as of February 22, 2024. A series of precision air strikes were executed on terrorist hideouts, resulting in their obliteration.
