After the successful abductions of internally displaced persons and schoolchildren from both states by bandits, the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has condemned and called for immediate rescue of the abducted victims.
The incident that occurred on Thursday has raised more national concern, and the president has directed security – along with intelligence – agencies to ensure that “justice is served against the perpetrators of these abominable acts (abductions).”
In a press release disclosed on the Facebook page of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale noted that Tinubu “has received briefings from security chiefs on the two incidents, and he is confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me than the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered.“
