In the late hours of Saturday, a group of suspected bandits stomped a mosque in Katsina and killed a politician known as Alhaji Lado, while observing Ramadan prayers with his family.
In a publication shared by DAILY POST, the incident took place at Mairuwa village, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State. By recent calculation, Katsina is one of the states mostly affected by insurgencies in Nigeria.
Following latest report on the incident, Lado was killed as a result of his refusal to follow the instructions of the bandits.
However, during the Daily Trust interview session with one of the survivors, it was stated that the abductors made away with the wives and daughters of the deceased.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness whose identity was not disclosed opined that Sani, one of the health workers at Mairuwa Health Facility, was also attacked.
While explaining with details of the attack, the eyewitness disclosed that Sani “worked at the Mairuwa Health Facility.”
As of the time of writing this report, no recent action has been disclosed by the Katsina State Police Command.
