The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has advised Muslims to ensure continued compliance with religious values beyond the Ramadan period.
Sen. Oluremi’s Special Adviser on Media, Busola Kukoyi in a statement on X, said the First Lady called on all Muslims to allow purity and godliness take important seat on their lives even after the fast.
Oluremi gave this advice on Tuesday in the State House Banquet hall during Iftar (breaking of the Ramadan fast) where she organized for federal legislatures, former first ladies, governors’ wives, and others.

She urged the women to support one another and have each other at heart in order to get the nation back on track. Senator Oluremi noted that the various programs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are all on track, and the results are beginning to be evident.
Oluremi then reassured that the nation will be greater adding that citizens will be happy once there is love, peace, and harmony amongst all.
“This is a very solemn time, a time we are supposed to reflect and ask God for forgiveness where we have erred and do better.
“This time should not just end after 30 days of fasting and prayers, we should take it into the way Nigeria will be on the horizon.
“Nigeria is on the path of greatness, things cannot be done the same way, they used to be, we have to do whatever it takes to turn things around,” the First Lady said.
The wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima who was present at the banquet, earlier on appreciated Senator Oluremi for all she has done for the nation and for women generally.
She urged all the women to support the current government and the programmes of the first lady through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
She further urged women to remember the nation in their prayers, especially in these last 10 days of the Ramadan fast.
The guest lecturer, Professor Dr Maryam Lemu, also advised the women to remember that God created humans equal, and no one is above anyone in His sight.
She urged them not to forget all they have learnt during the Ramadan fast and that they should not derail from it but rather continue in that line even beyond it.
She said, “living in love, piety, humility, and tolerance will enhance the lives of Nigerians as a whole.”
