Saudi Arabia crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has said he does not care about accusations of sports washing.

The Gulf kingdom has been accused of investing in sport and using high-profile events to improve its international reputation.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund led the takeover of Newcastle United last year and launched LIV Golf.
Bin Salman while speaking to news men said that he does not care about the accusation of sports-washing as long as he can continue to increase his GDP.
Furthermore, he said that he has seen 1% GDP increase from investment in sports and he was aiming for another 1.5%.
After a series of events which includes the execution of 81 men last year Human rights campaigners have accused them of using sport to distract from long-standing reputation issues.
