Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has today announced the confirmation of the delivery of the train purchased from Dalian, China, to Lagos, Nigeria.
Sanwo-Olu, who expressed genuine excitement about this development in a statement made on his social media, X, said: “Trains checked, production specifications finalized, payments made, and delivery dates from Dalian, China, to Lagos, Nigeria confirmed.”

He highlighted the importance of the joint maintenance agreements and knowledge transfer, which are to be finalized with the team from Dalian. The two-time governor emphasized the train manufacturers’ worldwide recognition and over 100 years of experience.

The train’s arrival date is still unknown, but the delivery confirmation is a big step in the governor’s plan to ease Lagos traffic.
