Bewaji Ewatomi, the wife of the controversial Nigerian singer Portable, has responded to allegations of assault by her husband.
The incident unfolded on Portable’s 30th birthday celebration, where Bewaji took to her social media platform to express her well-wishes for her husband.
However, amidst the celebratory messages, a user identified as @agbajedeboraha, raised serious accusations against the singer, claiming that he had assaulted his wife. Bewaji challenged the commenter, stating, “If they born your mama well, can you please tell us what you are going through in your own home?”
She continued, “If I stay in my husband’s house till now, na because of my children, because I can’t be among people like you with five children and five fathers. Anything I see in my husband’s house na because of my children tomorrow, werey.”

Portable, who just celebrated his 30th birthday, recently gave a shout-out to Olamide.
Speaking on a social media live session, Dr Zeh reminisced about his humble beginnings and the significant impact Olamide had on his professional trajectory. “I would have still been on the streets if not for Olamide,” he confessed. “He told me that I was gonna make it even when nobody believed in me. And I have made it bigger than I ever thought.”
The artist spoke about his journey from performing for a mere N200 at events to collaborating with top artists in the UK, while acknowledging Olamide’s pivotal role in his life.
Acknowledging Olamide’s generosity and mentorship, Portable emphasized that, “Olamide is a boss and I respect him so much. He sponsored me without asking for anything in return.”
In his statement, Portable expressed his gratitude towards Olamide for opening doors that seemed out of reach.
“Olamide paved the way for me, and God used him to bless me,” he proclaimed.
