The Nigerian singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, aka Peruzzi, has found himself embroiled in a controversy following a viral screenshot of a supposed tweet implicating his record label boss, Davido.
The screenshot, which was circulated widely on social media, purportedly showed Peruzzi accusing Davido of cutting him off due to an alleged affair with Chioma, his (Davido’s) partner.
In the tweet, which was quickly deleted, Peruzzi reportedly expressed frustration at Davido’s behavior, claiming that their once close relationship had gone sour because Davido believed Peruzzi was involved with Chioma.
The tweet suggested that Davido had started treating Peruzzi poorly, leading the latter to distance himself from Davido’s circle.
“We used to be so close but because you hear say I dey pipe your wife you start to give me attitude. I don leave your circle sha. Ungrateful n*gga like say if no write your songs you for blow,” the tweet read.
The controversy began when an X user, @belikebaddy, shared the screenshot with a caption that seemed to imply Peruzzi’s guilt. The tweet quickly gained traction, prompting Peruzzi to respond to the allegations. Peruzzi reposted the screenshot on his own account, seemingly dismissing it as baseless gossip with a cryptic remark: “Your own go bad gaannnnn.”

However, Peruzzi didn’t stop there. In subsequent tweets, he strongly suggested that the screenshot was doctored, accusing unknown individuals of attempting to manipulate his words. “You sabi edit abi? You go edit for me wella. No worry,” he wrote, seemingly unfazed by the controversy swirling around him.
Chioma and Davido’s Wedding
In an exclusive interview with content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori last year, Davido revealed that he and Chioma have formally tied the knot.
This announcement came after a period of reflection and rest for Davido, during which he had the opportunity to spend quality time with his family and focus on creating music. Davido disclosed that before his hiatus, he had already prepared an album and a tour, but circumstances led him to rethink and remake the album.
“Just being away, you know I have had a lot to think about definitely. Time to rest, reflect on a lot of family time and time to make music again. You know, I remade the album. Before I went on a break I actually had an album ready. I had a tour ready. You know we did the album. I travelled. It was crazy. I’m married. A lot of different things but yeah, we are ready now to get back on the road,” he shared.
