Netizens have called on Lead British International School management to punish an alleged female student, Maryam Hassan, who was seen in a viral video bullying another female student, Namtira Bwala, in Abuja.
The viral video, published on Tuesday Morning on various social media platforms, has triggered a lot of reactions from netizens, who have been calling for justice to be served in favour of the bullied victim, Namtira Bwala
Although the reason for the bully is unknown, Hassan was heard repeatedly saying, “tell me who broke my heart,” accompanied by 18 slaps on the victim’s face without provocative retaliation.
An X user, Akwa Ibom 1st Son, twitted, “None of my children will ever go close to a boarding school.
“My policy is: go to school, come back home, and tell me what you went through.
“#LeadBritishSchool is an irresponsible school.
Another user, Asukwu Benedict C., said, “My dear wife was a product of boarding school. Has been resisting me from sending my tomato to boarding school. Even the one with morale, this woman, said no. Now I see. However, these girls must hit the gym and takwando. I will tell you.”
Isah Dandare also noted that a student called Faliha Sani, who was aiding in perpetrating the heinous act should be questioned as well, thus advocating that children’s safety needs to be assured.
“Your children’s safety should be questioned at Lead British International School. Also, the boy and Faliha Sani got questions to answer and punishments to receive,” Isah Dandare disclosed.
But some are of the opinion that boarding school will teach you to be strong, outspoken, and not a victim of bullying.

Meanwhile, Daniel Bwala, Atiku Ex-Aide, whose attention was drawn to the incident, issued a statement, clarifying that the little girl bullied was not his child and not related to him.
He disclosed that the issue has been reported to law enforcement, describing that the bullied student could be anyone’s daughter.
It was revealed that a source alleged that when he contacted the school, they told him that both girls involved would be treated as minors when enforcing punishment.
In response to the bullying incident, Lead British International School said necessary action will be taken after the completion of the investigation carried out by the disciplinary panel.
The case of Namtira Bwala is a call to shun bullying in any form for the well-being of humans and to report any case of bullying to the appropriate authorities.
