The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has given an approval to MTN’s request to embark on partial disconnection of Globacom (Glo) from its network due to unpaid inter-connection charges.
The NCC Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka announced on Monday.
A document titled ‘Pre-Disconnection Notice’ said the action came after Glo failed to settle its outstanding debts despite repeated efforts for an amicable resolution of the dispute.
The statement said that under this partial disconnection, Globacom subscribers would only be able to make outgoing calls to other networks except MTN.

“The Partial Disconnection, however, will allow in-bound calls to the Globacom network,” the NCC stated.
