Kwara Customs Welcomes New Area Comptroller, Faith Ojeifo

In a significant transition, the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) welcomed a new Area Comptroller, Faith Ojeifo, following the retirement of Comptroller Kehinde Ilesanmi.

Comptroller Faith Ojeifo assumed the role of the new Customs Area Controller, succeeding Comptroller Kehinde Ilesanmi, who retired at the mandatory retirement age of sixty (60) years on February 20, 2024.

While speaking at the welcome ceremony, Comptroller Faith Ojeifo thanked his predecessor and emphasized his commitment to building upon past achievements.

In addition, he plans to surpass revenue targets for 2024 and reduce smuggling activities, seeking support from officers and staff.

Similarly, retiring Area Controller, Comptroller Kehinde Ilesanmi, appreciated the management for the opportunity to serve and urged officers to cooperate with Comptroller Faith Ojeifo.

Comptroller Faith Ojeifo highlighted transparency, professionalism, and adherence to fiscal policies. However, he pledged to enforce government fiscal policies and secure the interests of Kwarans.

“All fiscal policies of the Federal Government shall be implemented. All revenue accruing to the government shall be collected. Together, we shall block all revenue leakages,” he stated.

Lastly, he also called for stakeholder collaboration to enhance intelligence sharing and combat smuggling effectively.

The transition signals a new era for Kwara State Command, under Comptroller Faith Ojeifo’s leadership who is respected for his diligence, integrity, and focus on revenue generation and border security.
