Jonathan’s Former Chief of Staff, General Jones Arogbofa, Dies at 72

General Jones Arogbofa, who notably served as Chief of Staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has passed away at the age of 72.

Arogbofa’s demise occurred on Saturday, February 10, though the circumstances surrounding his death remain undisclosed at present.

As of the time of reporting, his family has not released any official statement regarding his passing.

However, former senator and Silverbird Group founder, Ben Murray-Bruce, confirmed the sad news via X on Saturday.

General Jones was born on November 10, 1952, in Oka-Akoko, Ondo State, Arogbofa had a military background before assuming the role of Jonathan’s Chief of Staff from 2014 to 2015.
