The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is set to release a 3-part investigative documentary uncovering the alleged atrocities and sexual crimes committed by the late Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, known as TB Joshua, begining today.
Joshua, who passed away on June 5, 2021, is the focus of the investigative documentary, which includes interviews with over 30 former members and workers of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
The investigation reveals a dark side to the founder of SCOAN, exposing stories of abuse, harassment, rape, manipulation, and staged miracles that reportedly spanned over two decades.
Sources claim the church was aware of these allegations, but never conducted investigations.
One shocking revelation is related to the collapse of its auditorium in 2014, where SCOAN allegedly misled its congregation about the incident. The documentary suggests the church knew about structural issues but chose not to address them properly.
Survivors shared accounts of sexual exploitation with multiple women, claiming they were molested and raped by TB Joshua.
The documentary includes disturbing details of how these women were coerced into silence, forced abortions, and threatened.
Additionally, the BBC uncovered the church’s alleged involvement in dismembering bodies under the rubble of the collapsed building and using SCOAN ambulances to hide the reality of the disaster from the press.

The investigative documentary also delves into the church’s practice of staging and exaggerating miracles for broadcast. Former members suggest that people were instructed to exaggerate their problems and healings to fit the narrative presented on television.
The documentary explores TB Joshua’s treatment of his daughter, born out of wedlock. It lays claims to maltreatment, isolation, and indoctrination. The daughter, Ajoke, said she was thrown out of the church after confronting her father about allegations of sexual abuse.
The BBC plans to air the documentary over three consecutive weeks, shedding light on the controversial practices within SCOAN. The allegations presented in the documentary add to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding TB Joshua’s legacy.
