On the 2nd of January, the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu had crossed a number of motorcyclists that were caught plying one-way road against the Lagos State traffic laws.

Displeased with the breach and illegal conduct, Sanwo-Olu, who was on his way to the inauguration of the Femi Gbajabiamila Conference Centre, Ojo campus, Lagos State University (LASU), pulled over and ordered the arrests of the culprits.

One of the arrested offenders was a young man who identified himself as a soldier when he was being dragged to the car.

I am a soldier, Oga sir,” the young man said.

Angry Soldier

Infuriated by the statement, the Governor was heard ranting, “That’s the more reason I’m going to lock you up. You are telling me you are a soldier. That’s even the more reason I’m going to lock you up.

Get in there. Useless boy. You are telling me you are a soldier. Lock him up!!

It was following this statement that other soldiers, who were angered by the use of the word “useless“, have been brandishing condemnations and contempts at the Governor.

Angry Soldier

Expressing strong disapproval, a young male soldier directly cursed the Lagos State Governor. The angry soldier explained how he would have shown to Sanwo-Olu what the true meaning of “useless” is.

He however blamed the governor of hypocrisy, when he stated, “You were calling a soldier useless, and if you want to do your dirty work, you call soldiers. You are m*d!

And all of you who are commenting rubbish, you are stupid,” he replied to other Nigerians who supported the Governor’s move.

The unnamed angry soldier was not the only one to have replied to the incident of the arrest of the offending motorcyclists.
