In a viral video circulating on Wednesday, American rapper William Leonard Roberts II, popularly known as Rick Ross, has expressed his desire to extend his appreciation to world leaders and illuminate the richness of global cultures, starting with Nigeria and its president, Bola Tinubu.
“I want to show love to the presidents of some of these amazing countries. I just want to bring attention to the cultures and amazing artists. Let’s start with Nigeria: Bola Tinubu!” he expressed.
This declaration comes amidst the rapper’s recent revelation of plans to collaborate with several African artists for his upcoming studio album, ‘Champagne Moments.’ Among the artists are Asake, Odumodublvck, Stonebwoy, Black Sheriff from Ghana, and South Africa’s Nasty C.
Rick Ross, at 48 years old, has a notable history of collaborations with African artists, having previously worked with the likes of P-Square, Yemi Alade, and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz.

Rick Ross made a visit to Nigeria in 2022 to headline a concert. Through a series of posts shared on his official Instagram account, the hip-hop icon expressed profound astonishment at the abundance of talents flourishing within the country’s borders.
During his brief stint in Nigeria before jetting off to Angola for another performance, the Maybach Music impresario was impressed by the local talent pool that he made a bold commitment to sign two promising African acts to his record label in the United States.
“It’s the boss, Ricky Rosay. I am over here in Africa, the motherland. I just woke up here on Easter, and I just woke up, I want to share love. I want to rep, I feel like it is not enough for American artistes to shed light on Africa, supporting African artistes; so, what I wanted to do was wake up, I am going out to the city, I am going out to the slums, places the police do not want to go and I am going to show love. That is what I feel like doing,” he shared.
