The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, met with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, and his team in Plateau State.
The governor shared on his X handle that the essence of the meeting is to establish collective efforts to provide lasting peace in Mangu Local Government Area and other communities in the state.
Mutfwang said the meeting was “in our collective efforts to establish lasting peace in Mangu Local Government Area and other communities in Plateau State.“
However, an assessment of the recent security breach in Mangu Local Government Area was conducted among the Army, government, community leaders, and security agencies.

He added that achieving a peaceful state is the responsibility of all and not only in the hands of military personnel, but enhancing the morale of troops is important in promoting peace.
“Achieving lasting peace necessitates collaboration among the Army, government, community leaders, and security agencies. It is not solely the responsibility of the military; we must work together,
“Enhancing the morale of troops is crucial, and as a government, we will persist in promoting unity across faiths and ethnicities to attain enduring peace in the state,” Governor Mutfwang said.
