After the deaths of five Nollywood actors as a result of a boat mishap in the Asaba River, the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, pledges to pay tribute to the state indigene, Precious Ofurum.
Recall that GOLDENPAGE MAGAZINE reported the tragic incident that occurred on April 10 in Asaba, Delta State, which led to the deaths of Ofurum, the river-born breed, and other actors; among them was Junior Pope.
The Rivers State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and Nollywood practitioners paid a visit to the Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
Nelson Chukwudi, Spokesperson for Fubara, revealed that AGN visit stemmed from the yet unclaimed body of the young star.

George Nwaeke, acting on behalf of the State Governor, recognised the solidarity visit as spotlighting the tragic loss of the talented 26-year-old Rivers State star.
Governor Fubara however affirmed in his response a youth-friendly administration. He then vowed support for the bereaved family.
In response to the governor’s statement, Mr. Eric Stevenson, convener of the solidarity visit, expressed gratitude for the support and expressed hope that the late actor’s remains would soon be claimed.
