Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has firmly debunked purported statements attributed to him about disapproving 273 aides appointed by Commissioner of Justice, Olukayode Ajulo, on Tuesday.

His Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, described the reports as unfounded fabrications and expressed the governor’s displeasure with some media platforms, mentioning “The Nation newspaper” for circulating untrue information to members of the public.

Governor Aiyedatiwa clarified the issue around the disapproval of the appointments of the 273 aides, stating:

The line credited to me in the story to the effect that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa did not approve the appointment of aides made by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, was a fabrication of the author of the story.

That statement did not emanate from me, and the author of the original story has since admitted his error, apologised, and promised to do a retraction.”

Providing clarity to the public, the governor emphasised that the Attorney General’s appointments of the 273 aides solely involve enlisting the support of various legal experts, including distinguished Senior Advocates of Nigeria, as honorary advisers.
