Today in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, the funeral arrangements of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, commence.
Olatunde Richard, the Chief Press Secretary to the late governor, disclosed on his X handle that the funeral event will kick off at exactly 5 PM in WAT, Nigeria, as the entire Ondo State bids farewell to the former Commanding Officer of the Sunshine State.
The funeral ceremony is to be held by Winning Soul Crusade, scheduled at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park.
Noting his loss has left the people of Ondo State in an overwhelming mood, filled with sorrow. They acknowledged that their parting is not one of eternity, but they committed themselves to preserving his memory and upholding the noble deeds the late governor accomplished throughout his life.

Expressing their obligation, “even in death, his influence remains steadfast, for he shall forever be our guiding light and inspirational leader.” However, they find solace in the remarkable work and enduring legacy he left behind.
