Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed concern over the recent fire outbreak that occurred at the Mandilas Building on Broad Street in Lagos Island.
Sanwo-Olu, on his X handle, formerly known as Twitter on Sunday, urged Lagosians to remain calm as all team respondents are working hard to bring the situation to a complete stop.

He said the fire originated on the first floor of the building and spread to the fourth floor. He added that all efforts to keep the fire under control are ongoing.
He also disclosed that the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be determined, but investigations are underway. Fortunately, no casualties have been recorded.

Mr Sanwo-Olu commended the teams from Ebute Elefun, Sari Iganmu Fire Stations, and security personnel for their brave team spirit and for making an incredible firefighting team.
“Your dedication is unmatched as you face this challenge head-on,” the governor added.
