Elon Musk has mocked the recent outage that struck Facebook and Instagram with their users worldwide taken aback today.

Users found themselves logged out of their accounts, with attempts to log back in met with error messages, leaving many puzzled and frustrated.

Reports flooded in, indicating a widespread outage affecting millions. Down Detector recorded over 239,000 reports for Facebook and 37,000 for Instagram during the disruption.

Meta, the parent company, acknowledged the issue, with communications lead, Andy Stone, assuring users they were working to resolve it.

Seizing the moment, Elon Musk took a playful jab at the situation, posting on his platform, X: “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working.” X, formerly known as Twitter, became a hub for updates as users sought information amidst the chaos.
