Easter: Aiyedatiwa urges Christians to show love, forgive, and shun hate

As Christians worldwide celebrate Easter, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged the citizens to embrace the spirit of love and unity during the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to preach against hatred.

In his Easter message, Governor Aiyedatiwa extended an invitation to everyone to contemplate forgiveness towards others and said, “As you forgive, the Lord will relieve you of anger, resentment, and pain and bring you peace.”

“I greet you all, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ after a glorious self-sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.

“The message of Easter reminds us of the power of divine love, faith, and redemption. Easter also evokes in us the resilience of the human spirit not to give up in the face of seemingly daunting challenges of life.
