In a recent interview, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha from the Big Brother Naija reality show, has unleashed scathing criticism on the brand of feminism prevalent in Nigeria, labeling it as akin to witchcraft.

The reality star made these remarks during a conversation addressing her altercation with Mummy Zee.

During the widely discussed interview with renowned media personality – Chude Jideonwo, Tacha addressed the controversy surrounding her clash with Mummy Zee. Contrary to the accusations leveled against her, Tacha asserted that she had actually defended Mummy Zee on the podcast.

However, it was her subsequent critique of feminism in the Nigerian perception that stole the spotlight.

While responding to questions asked,   Tacha equated the Nigerian version of feminism to witchcraft, expressing her frustration with what she perceived as a selective and misguided interpretation of feminist ideals in the country.

So, I was literally praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then,” Tacha explained.

I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practiced,” she submitted.

Roots of the Rifts Between Tacha and Mummy Zee

Tacha’s clash with Mummy Zee stemmed from remarks made by an anonymous individual to Mummy Zee, alleging disparaging comments from Tacha.

The feud escalated when Mummy Zee responded to the anonymous user’s message with a cutting remark of her own, stating, “Person when nor get sense.

Expressing her disdain towards Mummy Zee’s retort, Tacha retaliated with a scathing response, asserting, “Take a look at this homeless piece of shit with zero self-esteem. Zomb*e has zero ability to think for herself at her big age.”

Tacha went further to address Mummy Zee’s lifestyle choices, suggesting, “Really hope you use all that community funds you hit from begging to actually send your daughter to a good school. That way she does not turn out this stupid, hating on a fellow woman because it is popular to do so or wake up at 4 am to cook rubbish for a long-throat hungry-looking man.”
