AI is changing everything that’s expected in tech.
Bill Gates while speaking at the Bill Gate and Melinda Gate Foundation Africa. He said; it’s the early days of AI, and literally, a year after the first LLM breakthrough on ChatGPT got out, the goal was to have an application that can reduce inequity in the industry within 10 or 20 years later and still be right on the cutting edge of technology.
“We have just committed another 30 million dollars of grants from the foundation to focus the money on the African AI innovators”
Gate further said “We will be helping African innovators by grouping them together around some of the areas where technology is really important” We will be taking their application to the next stage and a lot of these things are already in pilot mode.

The tech Innovator said “Some conversations I find myself in are mostly saying to people! no, it won’t happen overnight, and in other conversations, I’m more into promoting the most profound platform that changes the healthcare sector and it will be very substantially improved by the use of these AI tools”
He maintained that “Health stuff and medical materials sometimes have a very short period of time, but I think it can be done in a rapid development space”.
“One of the greatest achievements of the Gates Foundation is in taking vaccines like rotavirus that were being given to the kids that weren’t at risk because they were in wealthier countries and we were making sure that those vaccines were available to all the kids in the world.
Bill Gates said “It’s kind of a miracle that in the last 20 years, vaccine availability has improved a lot. Even so, they were still delayed and so now, AI may be the first technology we have that may provide us with a chance to combat some of these challenges”
“There’s so much learning coming out of many countries in Africa, which are dealing with more labor shortage than we have ever had to deal with; you know it kind of trickle-down to the approach, the UK has for the AI safety”
“There are many different time frames that AI technology can simultaneously handle, if you go out and you get something that’s dramatically more powerful than we have today, you can almost think of it as a good thing, but as we move from a world where we have a scarcity of talent to solve certain problems into an era where we are almost getting into excess, that’s not sub imminent, and also not impossible.
The thing about AI is that you can point where it’s dangerous in terms of you know like in our world, everything is almost designed around scarcity, like doctors, teachers, food, and if you ever get to a point where through AI both robots and humans can work stronger as necessary.
