The National Organising Secretary of APC, Suleiman Muhammed Argungu, made this known yesterday while exchanging views with journalists in his home town, Argungu, headquarters of Argungu Emirate Council in Kebbi state.

He disclosed that as a ruling party, they will lead by example in complying with INEC guidelines around the sales of forms to the aspirants.

He said, “After we close the sales of forms, a committee will be set up to select the delegates that will elect the candidates for the bye-elections.”

The party chieftain equally disclosed that by January 9, 2024, the party will open the INEC portal to upload the names of its aspirants who bought the forms for the vacant positions.

The National Organising Secretary further stated that six aspirants from Kebbi State have bought the forms to express their interests to contest in the bye-elections. According to him, seven states are expected to participate in it. While mentioning the names of the states, he included Kebbi, Yobe, Kaduna, Ebonyi, Lagos, Taraba and Benue.

Argungu therefore appealed to the party members to come out in large numbers to elect the delegates and candidates of their choice during the primary elections.
