The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved releasing the sum of N1.2B to OAUSTECH, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, for the completion of some abandoned buildings within the school of science, among others.

The governor made this known during the 2nd convocation ceremony of the prestigious institution, stating that his administration will make provision from the 2024 budget, and the institution’s monthly subsection of N91m will also be considered to enhance the smooth operation of the school in Ondo State on Monday.

Furthermore, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Adeniyan, disclosed on his Facebook page that Aiyedatiwa commissioned the new Central Engineering Workshop Complex in the university and also commended the grand vision of the founding fathers of the institution for their foresight and commitment to the development of the school.

“I am specially honoured to address this second onvocation. This marks my historic and inaugural attendance as the visitor to the university since my assumption of office in the last 69 days.

“I have no doubt that your upcoming School of Maritime Transport and Logistics at Ugbonla, which is at 60% completion by OSOPADEC, is very timely and will be of immense advantage to the Ondo State Deep Seaport Project and the development of the blue economy in the country at large,” the governor expressed.
