Adamawa Police Command Trains Officers for School Protection Squad

The Adamawa Police Command has concluded a series of tactical training sessions for its officers to boost the safety of schools and enhance NPF services.

On Monday, the Adamawa force command disclosed that the tactical training was for selected officers and was conducted at the No. 14 Police Mobile Base in Yola, the state’s capital.

The training covered a range of skills including rescue operations, ambush and counter-ambush techniques, and bridge crossing operations.

Also, the Adamawa force PRO SP Suleiman Nguroje stated that the training follows directives from IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

Furthermore, he stated that the command designed the training to help establish security perimeters around schools and conduct SWOT analyses on criminal activities reported near school facilities.

Similarly, Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris emphasized the importance of professionalism and the adherence to human rights during NPF operations.

He encouraged officers to utilize their training and equipment effectively to combat crime throughout the state.

Also, Deputy Commissioner of Police Olubode Olubunmi Fakeye, overseeing the tactical squad, stated that the training represents a significant step towards improving policing services not only for schools but for the broader public as well.

Additionally, the newly formed School Protection Squad will consist of well-trained officers equipped with the necessary tools to reach remote areas and provide timely responses to distress calls.
