The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has extended appreciation to the Federal Government and other stakeholders for their contributions to the successful release of the abducted victims.

Following the eventual release of the abducted pupils and teachers from the claws of kidnappers in Ekiti State, Governor Oyebanji took to his X page to acknowledge the several supports he had received while ensuring the victims’ safe return to their families.
The governor particularly thanked President Tinubu for his cooperation which subsequently proved instrumental to the retrieval of the kidnap victims.
His post on X, formerly Twitter, read: “My sincere thanks go to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the security agencies, and the good people of Ekiti State for their support, which facilitated the timely release of the abducted pupils and teachers of the Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School in Emure Ekiti.
“These victims are now receiving appropriate medical treatment at the State Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti.”
Reeling out reminder about his unyielding stance to avenging the deaths of the late kings who were gruesomely murdered in the state, he reiterated his stern focus on bringing the abductors and the killers to book.
“I am also in touch with the heads of security agencies on the ongoing investigation into the death of our two Royal Fathers and the bus driver of the abducted pupils to apprehend those responsible for the tragic assault and make them face the maximum weight of the law. There will be no hiding place for them.

“We remain committed to working with our security agencies and the traditional institution to keep our people safe and to prevent marauders from breaching the hard-earned peace in our dear state,” Governor Oyebanji swore in his statement.
According to the Governor’s message, it would be understood that the school bus driver had been killed by the kidnap criminals.
