Local nail artist, Lisha Seleme Dachor, has officially set a new Guinness World Record after completing an intense 72-hour Nail-A-Thon.
The event, which concluded yesterday, was held in Jos, Plateau State, and witnessed by a large crowd of supporters, including notable dignitaries.
Lisha Seleme Dachor embarked on her record-setting journey on April 28 and wrapped up on May 1, tirelessly painting and decorating artificial nails. By the end of the marathon, she had painted approximately 4,320 individual nails.
The Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, expressed his admiration and congratulations through a social media post: “I proudly join in celebrating Lisha Seleme Dachor’s record-breaking spirit and the young talent from Plateau State on her Guinness World Record for the longest nail art marathon. Your determination aligns with my administration’s policy objectives for the youth and inspires us all!”
Former Governor, Joshua Dariye, was also present, showing his support at the venue as Seleme Dachor worked towards the record.
The event not only showcased her incredible stamina and skill but also highlighted the community’s spirit, as people from across the region came together to witness this remarkable feat.
