The Naira saw a notable appreciation to N1,260 per dollar in the parallel market today, compared to N1,270 per dollar recorded on Monday.
Similarly, the Naira made gains in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), reaching N1,262.85 per dollar.
Data provided by the Financial Markets Dealers Quotations (FMDQ) indicated a significant drop in the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM, falling from N1,278.58 per dollar on Monday to N1,262.85 per dollar today. This marks an encouraging appreciation of N15.73 for the naira.
As a result of this positive shift, the margin between the parallel market rate and NAFEM has narrowed to N2.85 per dollar, down from N8.58 per dollar observed on Monday.
