Former arsenal and Chelsea player, Ashely Cole, joins other legends in premier league Hall of Fame induction.
This recognition comes as a testament to his remarkable career spanning over two decades, marked by exceptional achievements and massive contributions to English football.
The now 43-year-old football icon’s journey to hall of Fame began in the youth system of North London club Arsenal, where he swiftly rose through the ranks to make his full debut in November 1999.
During his time with the Gunners, Cole etched his name in the club’s history, making 228 appearances, scoring nine goals, and clinching five major honours, including the historic ‘Invincibles‘ season in 2003/04.
Cole’s influence would eventually extend beyond English shores as he ventured to Roma, LA Galaxy, and eventually Derby in the Championship, where he concluded his illustrious career in May 2019.
His journey saw him amass over 700 appearances, leaving an incredible mark on the global football stage.
Expressing his gratitude upon his induction, Cole stated, “It’s emotional to reflect because a lot of hard work has been put in.
“To join the Hall of Fame alongside the likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, and Rio Ferdinand, I’m privileged to be in their company.”

Also speaking on his induction, Richard Masters, Premier League Chief Executive, lauded Cole’s impact on the beautiful game, saying, “If you ask people for the best full-back in Premier League history, many of them would name Ashley Cole.”
He further added, “He continued his winning ways at Chelsea, forming a key part of one of the highest-scoring sides we have ever seen, and we are delighted to welcome him as the latest inductee into the Premier League Hall of Fame.”
