Stanley Nwabali has been praised by his South African club, Chippa United, for his heroic performance in the last match.

Chippa United have congratulated goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali for his achievement in helping Nigeria reach the Africa Cup of Nations final against Ivory Coast.
The Nigerian-born goalkeeper has only conceded twice in the tournament and was able to keep two penalties out during the shoot out to hand Nigeria the victory.
In a club statement, Chippa United expressed their “immense pride” in Nwabali’s performance and said he has “admirably represented the Chippa United brand.”

Nwabali conceded for the first time in four matches, but was able to make amends in the resultant penalty shootout after the game ended 1-1 before the penalties.
He made two saves against the Rainbow nation, who only converted two of their spot kicks to hand Nigeria the needed victory.
To celebrate him, the United stated, “the club wishes to extend its congratulations to Stanley Nwabali for his extraordinary achievement in reaching the AFCON 2023 finals and for also earning the Man of the Match award.”
In other news, Stanley Nwabali has expressed his continuous love for South Africa, stating that he loves the country as much as its fans love him.
Nwabali shared this in a statement on his Instagram account following Nigeria’s advancement to the final of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire after beating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Nwabali, who plays for South African Premier Soccer League, Chippa United, emphasized his commitment to the team, affirming his admiration for South Africa despite the competitive atmosphere between Nigeria and South Africa.
He said, “This is a game I’m born to play. A night to remember!!! I felt every bit of it!! Brick by brick and dreams are coming true. No love lost at all. I still love South Africa as much as their fans loves me. My name is Nwabali Stanley Bobo and I love this team with all my heart. Safe hands.”
“Before the Commencement of AFCON”
Nwabali has been Chippa United’s first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier Soccer League, he had played 15 top-tier matches for his club before the commencement of the Afcon.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria beat Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 in penalties to reach the African Cup of Nations final.
