The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an immediate commencement of the digitization process across all Commands and Formations of the Force to promote upgrade in the operation of the system.
He did this by charging all officers to enrol for the process at their various commands formations across the country.
The IGP has on Monday via an official post on X, formally twitter, ordered the reactivation of Police Smartforce DataBase System as part of his digitalization drive for the Police Force, using AI ( Artificial intelligence) to ensure that all officers have their details captured and stored for record purposes.
This, according to him, is to ease administrative bottlenecks in providing a better security system and create ease in tracking postings/transfers, and issue Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Cards for personnel identification.
