In a gracious gesture, President Bola Tinubu extends warm congratulations to Mr. Omokri on the occasion of his 50th birthday, celebrated on January 22, 2024.
Acknowledging Mr. Omokri’s commitment to offering constructive opinions on national matters, irrespective of his political affiliations, the President applauds his dedication through a statement by his spokesperson Ajuri Ngalale, on Sunday.
Mr Reno Omokri served as the Special Assistant on Digital Media to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan from 2011 to 2015. He is popular on social media (specifically X) for his political opinions and ‘clapbacks’.

Political Career
Mr. Omokri is presently a Vice President of Joe Trippi and Associates, a U.S. political consulting firm.
As the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, he was noted for using social media to conduct surveys and draw attention to the projects of the Nigerian Government.
In 2011, Omokri called for Nigerians living outside Nigeria, to endorse Jonathan for the 2011 elections. Omokri was a signatory of a letter by a group known as G 57 that called for the resignation of Yar’adua.
