The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has approved the appointment of 168 assistants and 104 board members across the 15 agencies and commissions within the state.
Governor Zulum revealed the information about the approval to members of the public through the secretary to the state government, Bukar Tijani, on Monday in Maiduguri.
According to the recent Premium Times publication, it was noted that the list of appointees was made up of nine senior technical assistants (STAs), 81 senior special assistants (SSAs), and 78 special assistants (SAs).
Adding to that, the SSG position was also part of the appointees, whereby 104 others were appointed as chairmen and board members of 15 agencies and commissions.

According to the report’s disclosure, the secretary to the state government said the selection was executed based “on powers conferred on the governor by the provisions of Section 208(2)d of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.”
While making his statement Mr. Tijani said Governor Zulum “congratulates the appointees and looks forward to their contributions to the development of Borno.”
